Those USF numbers don’t look right… they had 16,585 for Homecoming…

They’ve had 4 home games so far:

Towson - 35,976
Northern Illinois - 36,557
FSU - 61,665
ECU - 16,585

Like Temple last year when they played Notre Dame and Penn State at home, USF gets a big boost from the FSU game.

Seems like they’d have more than 17k in student attendance and season tickets.

IMO the hurricane killed attendance. I know the area wasn’t directly affected, but I bet a lot of people had other obligations. I’m sure the USF alums live all over Florida.

South Florida has a weird arrangement. They, like every other school, announces tickets sold/distributed. However, the local paper has access to turnstile counts and releases those as well. It’s one of the only schools in the nation that has somebody fact checking butts in the seats.
