B12 Tonight on TV

Ouch …The Big 12 is now 0-3 in P4 OOC games .

Not a good look. Hopefully we can add P4 Ws today!

If BU didn’t have the worst HC in the Big 12 the War Eagles would have left with a L. No excuses allowed, you earned the W, enjoy it !

These games had an AAC feel for me. Must wins for the conference.

You make it sound like Auburn looked like world beaters yesterday, when Baylor couldn’t stop a paper plane on defense. In reality it looked like match up of two mid to bad teams.

the first bug12 TNT game not until 10:30 ? not much of an effort to show college football imo. looks more like a cw sports network.

It’s early, but I think the 4 best teams in the big12, right now, are Iowa State, Texas Tech, Kansas State, and Houston. Honorable mention (ranked 26-35)…BYU, Arizona State, and… …that’s it. But none of us REALLY know until it plays out…wayyy too much parity to really know. I will say, the big 12 is the most balanced conf in the country. Makes for exciting football…

No, I make it sound like they are a very good football team that are NOT what the previous poster made them out to be. Did they go through a couple of down years under Bryan Harsin (from Boise State), yeah just like Bama struggled before Nick Sabin got there, and Tennessee struggled before Josh Huepel got there. But no one is calling Alabama or Tennessee “middle of the pack”. To poor mouth them and underestimate them because they only won by 14 is ignorant, at best, and, more likely, shortsighted. Auburn and Houston are both undefeated, so, technically they are both “Top of the pack” in their respective conferences, right now…

Baylor will be a bad matchup for us (ISU). We tend to struggle against teams that can/will air it out. The three man front with the refusal to bring 4 rushers on passing downs, makes us susceptible to giving up 3rd on longs, via the pass or QB scrambles.

Overall I cant seen Baylor being a viable threat unless multiple teams have 3 conference losses. I think thats their absolute ceiling. Aranda is too incompetent for them to win more than 3 games in a row.

A lot of ISUs success will hinge on Rocco (he needs to show more consistency), the Oline/blocking schemes (our staff is horrendous with calling minimal protection schemes in obvious pressure situations), and big plays/3rd downs on defense.

KState was one game, but the LB core is competent, which is worlds better than the dumpster fire we had last season. The Oline, despite some protection issues (which were partly due to poor blocking schema on pressure downs), got much better push than they typically have. I also liked our aggressiveness at the end of the game. For most of Campbells tenure he would have been conservative rather than exercise calculated aggression.

Rocco is probably the most important guy. The dude made two of the best TD throws you will see all year, had one in-rhythm drive, then struggled to make the routine throw for 3 quarters. He has the ability/talent to be great, but he needs to showcase the brain power and consistency. I’m skeptical, but maybe the light goes off in year 3.

Only home game CU lost last year was Kansas St.

Right color

Also well known that they paid for Cam as well when it was not allowed. So had to cheat.

If Cincy doesn’t keep trying to throw, they may finish mid pack. Look to have a good ground game. Though I am not saying keep them in the contender section.

What are y’alls’ thoughts on Ok State? Is Gundy Inc back?

Might as well throw out all record books

Except that one was well documented at the time of the game, not a grey area about it. Plus the Auburn poster brought up their titles.

I think they will be like a 8-4 ish type team. They will be a factor, but not a contender.

Which is big after the year they just had.

Arizona, Arizona State, Utah, BYU, and Texas Tech haven’t played a game yet so yeah, it’s a bit early to list your best teams opinion.

Please, give me a break…Baylor and Colorado are middle of the pack teams. Them losing tough games to good opponents is no big deal. Like saying SEC is weak because Kentucky loses in FB…

CU definitely looks like they may struggle. Baylor, I need to see more.
