SCOUTING THE SCARLET KNIGHTS
Rutgers enters Saturday’s contest with a 2-8 overall record including a 5-0 mark away from Piscataway N.J.

The Scarlet Knights are led offensively by Kandiss Barber who has averaged 10.6 points through the first 10 games. Barber is the only player averaging double-figures for Rutgers. Shrita Parker averages 8.6 points per game, while Khadaizha Sanders scores 8.0.

On the glass, Desiree Keeling leads the Knights, pulling in 7.1 rebounds per contest. Barber is the only other Scarlet Knight averaging more than five boards per game, coming in at 5.1.

TURNING POINT
With 6:54 remaining in the contest, Rutgers extended its lead to 10 points, but over the final 4:55 Houston’s defense clamped down. The Cougars allowed just one field goal and three points over the last five minutes, while outscoring Rutgers 15-3 down the stretch.
