Their attendance sucks too despite having decades in a power conference

M’eh. Their fans are upset that they will be retaining Dave Aranda, Athletic dept is in shambles because Mack Rhodes was at a Diddy Party, and they suck. Expected but i get it fudge those guys.

Wait is that why they fired Mack? And I can’t believe they are still going to retain Aranda.

Nah. I’m talking outta my arse but whatevs. Fudge baylor. I read they’re miffed they let the north texas guy go to Okie St.

I don’t think we should be ragging other schools for attendance.

I too hate Baylor, screw then for keeping us out of the big 12.

Sounded to me like the school president decided to keep Aranda since they didn’t have an AD.

Am I right?

That and the buyout must be pretty substantial.

I would think you would want to start fresh for the new AD, but I guess the buyout must be a problem.

Must have been quite a bit more than I thought.

34,166 for baylor . We had a little over 30 k for our last game. We’re not alone. Hoping our AD really markets next yr. Consistent winning really helps.

We need more exciting football. I love solid defense but 14 points versus tcu? C’mon man!

I agree but I think it is too point out that other teams have attendance problems. I watched a little of the Miami-Pitt game and was surprised at amount of empty seats.

When Baylor had the chance to do the right thing they drug their feet and tried to smokescreen for a bunch of hooligans.

Can’t stand them. And their students are copying the Aggie stuff now…which means they’re pathologically compromised.

When are the bowl games announced?

Demand for content is driving media rights deals. As if to say more people want more things to watch. The revenue is following the same trend as media partners pay conferences more for rights every cycle.
Got me to thinking… outside of the schools themselves who rely on the revenue, and bragging rights of fans who like to compare the size of their crowds, who actually cares if anyone attends games?

Funny how we always catch the brunt of the ridicule. But it seems to he happening a lot of places.

Nearly all urban sports programs that aren’t considered flagship universities have attendance issues.

Our football program is over 70 years old.

If we haven’t figured it out by now, there is a good chance we never will.

It is what it is.

In the meantime….Go Coogs!!

First, they have the type of student engagement activity at the beginning of the game and primo student seating that leads to lifelong fans

Second, I didn’t see that many Coogs at the game so that’s the real issue, not what some institution voted on 30 years ago

I was impressed with their fans and family atmosphere, and extremely happy that we could make an easy road trip to watch a good game and flash our colors. They too have both a constantly loud scoreboard speaker and annoying roving guy with a microphone just like we do

Growing our fan base has to start with current students
