Lol. Yeah i get it
Edit: pretty good start for BYU. Not that it matters tho, after watching them respond to ISU starting 10/10 lmao

LJ Martin might be my favorite player in the league.
Definitely favorite running back. They donāt really make em like him anymore. Just a true every down bell cow back.
Great blocker, runner, and receiver
I think he will be back next year.
Not being hypocritical at all. My statement applies to UH and TCU as well as all other teams.
I am frustrated so it may be my frustration speaking, but Yormark seems to be great for contracts, general marketing, and basketball, but I donāt think he is great for football itself.
The ACC is pumping stuff out to push their champion plus Miami. They are making sure they are heard. The big 12 has three teams that are certainly better than Miami. Plus we have two teams that beat SMU who beat Miami.
Why isnāt Yormark pushing Texas Tech, Utah, and BYU stuff every chance he gets? Why isnāt he pushing Houston, ASU, and Arizona stuff?
Our commissioner is failing our league in football.
Once again, I donāt know I believe any of this⦠but itās frustrating.
Edit:
ESPN purposefully keeping BYU out of discussion.
If a team that is 10-1 with a loss to the #5 team canāt get in we have a problem as a conference. Especially when that team is 21-3 in the last 24.
I donāt understand why Utah is being considered a contender when their record is 9-2 and they lost, head to head, against 10-1 BYUā¦
People probably think theyāre UT.
Honestly, have been big disappointments this year.
Ya, no crap. 8-4 is a disappointment to everyone involved. Let alone still a possibly of 7-5. ISU failed to meet overall expectations, correct.
At the same time, itās an objective fact that countless other cfb programs w/ lesser coaches who have instilled lesser cultures with more $$$, resources, and natural built-in advantages to work with would not have been able to reel off back-to-back quality wins like this after losing FOUR soul-crushing heartbreakers in a row.
ā¦So is it ok if we enjoy it, or no? ![]()
Thereās only so much Yormark can do.
We need BYU, Utah, Tech, and maybe 1 or 2 other teams to consistently win the Big 12 standings every year (similar to how Bama/Georgia etc. do for the SEC & Ohio State/Michigan etc. usually do for the B1G) to have a seat at the CFP table
I think he has a point here tho. 10-1 is 10-1.
And they lost to the undisputed juggernaut in our conference this year. Thatās the key for me.
If it had been to anyone else, thatād make more sense to have them behind some of these other teams.
Iād be pretty upset if it were my team. To your point, IDK if Yormark is the issue here, I think heās doing a great job overall.
But itās BS either way, IMO.
I agreeā¦
But BYU has had the following records:
2020: 11-1 (3-0 vs p5 teams today)
2021 10-3 (6-1 vs p5 teams, including beating Utah who won the pac 12. Loss was to Baylor who won the big 12 and BSU in regular season)
2022: 8-5 not a great season
2023: 5-7 first season in big 12
2024: 11-2 tied for first in regular season in big 12, third after tie breakers, bad loss to Kansas, loss to playoff team ASU, beat playoff team SMU @ SMU
2025 10-1 so far, only loss @ #5 texas tech
Oh well. I am not upset anymore. But I was yesterday
I think itās also that itās the second year of being so close
Itās your wagon. You can push or pull it.
Thereās no reason why UH canāt be in that number.
Yeah thatās rough. 1st a messy tie-breaker. Now a biased poll.
I get it.
Big 12 needs to start playing a game on Thanksgiving every yr. Wonder if TNT would be interested in putting an a Turkey day college game?
We could try to make Arizona v ASU the thanksgiving game
