Honestly, they would probably be doing us a favor. Drop Utah and add UConn is a net positive in my mind. Hell, even SDST would be a positive addition. Utah just never really made sense outside of the whole “travel partner” with BYU

If Utah falls behind BYU for a few years, it will be <1/4 full stadiums and no buzz. A large portion of their fan base cheers for “not BYU”. That portion disappears quickly when things go wrong on the field or court.
It’s funny if they talk themselves into believing they are expansion candidates - when expansion is no longer the name of the game lol.

For work I have Utah season tickets and BYU season tickets that we give away to employees.
Utah ticket demand is already half of what it was last year

There are a few things that make Utah somewhat enticing from a Big Ten standpoint. It’s in a growing state, a growing metro area, and enrollment will surpass 30k fairly soon. The biggest potential benefit is the research share, as Utah’s research expenditures have been increasing and they have recently been admitted into the AAU.
But travel SUCKs, and I don’t see Utah being a big enough fish for them to want a middling athletic program with a Mountain time slot. But, even if you HATE Utah, be it the school itself or the fan hubris, it’s hard to ignore they have a fairly substantial amount of “potential”.
If it ever happened it would likely be for an attempted “kill shot” more than anything else.

If I were picking between the school as the big ten I think I’d go Colorado over Utah.
Utah and BYU fans might become Buffs fans, byu and utah fans won’t cheer for each other.
The multiple highly dubious factoids presented here are amazing. This person is operating on a level of delusion while getting thousands to run with it that many haven’t seen in awhile.
I mean, this is at a higher level than MHVER and the Dude of WV. Might be higher than Genetics56(BIGTEN nutjob)
