There is so much hypocrisy here in the statement, as it related to sports/academics/Christianity.

Maybe the B12 messed up by inviting Baylor into the league when it formed. BYU is far more additive imo.

Hmmm. Baptists taking exception to Mormons.

Really good article on ISU athletics. You do need a subscription to read it.

Chris Cenac being on the perimeter that game was probably based on lineup construction. He didn’t have a problem grabbing rebounds in the All American game.

He had 15 boards in this game
doesn’t seem like he had a problem in either game

I agree with you
he won’t have a problem getting offensive boards at the 4 at UH.

He’s on the perimeter quite a bit. He shoots a lot of jumpers. He will spend a good amount of time behind the arc, just like Jarace Walker.

His offensive rebounding in the McDonalds game was just ok. He had 3 offensive boards and one of them was a long rebound that bounced out to him in the corner.

The discussion was about offensive rebounds. He had 15 total boards but only 1 was offensive,

Coach will have him crashing helping out JoJo. Houston will have the best frontcourt in the nation. Imagine how much better Cenac will be in games going against JoJo in practice.

some talk about some lesser touted big 12 teams and their offseason moves

TCU

Summary:

  • 1st time in 4 years dixon didn’t make the tourney
they actually think he did a good job coaching because they thought the roster dynamic was horrible (horrendous shooting team), should have won less
got them to play tough D

  • nexts years roster is a complete 180
 they loaded up on shooters
but with guys who aren’t known for great D

  • most are coming from high major schools

  • note this pod was made before they got the all-defense center from FIU, who commited yesterday

UTAH

  • 2 stat stuffers but both arent efficient at all
but they like Terrence Brown because the better the opponent the better he played
  • 3 high upside (former touted guys), low underclassman production - could pay off long trm
  • note it was done before they got Babacar Faye

field of 68 not a fan of iowa states offseason moves

it was set up to be a debate but both agreed its underwhelming

Should’ve been done years
 decades ago lol

Hopefully that would get rid of one of the media timeouts, and they should also take away a coach’s timeout.

And do something about the review process first - that’s a much more pressing issue.

If they’re serious about this, I would expect to see some of the MTE’s to try it first as experiments.

Five fouls to bonus, seven to double bonus. TV timeout at 5 minute point. It would make the game different. Think of the finals. A street fight in the first half, 4 fouls. Horse’s head delivered to referee’s locker room at half and all of sudden fouls for everything. To reset at the 10 minute mark gives us the time to understand that they’re calling a different game in the second half and adjust instead of dealing with the effects for 15 minutes
