Davy Crockett was a regular on the old Cougar’s Den board in the 1990’s.
Yes, where is he?

I didn’t know him that well. Seems like he was pretty serious the one time I got together with him at a sports bar.
The crazy part of the workout is that he did it all in his raccoon hat!
A coon skin cap will be hot during those early season day games. I’m down to sport one though.
Davy, Davy Crocket–king of the wild frontier. I know some of you can sing along.
I loved the name “Old Betsy” for Davy’s rifle. Iconic.
Nice nod to Davy with the hat
I remember I went as Davy Crockett for Halloween one year as a kid. My mom made the costume and I had a badass coonskin cap. King of the Wild Frontier!
Remember the Alamo!
…and Goliad!
ROTFLMAO!! NO!
I met one of the coaches at legacy high school at wal mart the other day(he saw my coog hat) and he said “my qb is coming to play there” I perked up and said " the kid with the coon skin hat?" He said yes and i said oh yeah we are all fired up about it! He also said there is a big O lineman at Klein High that the coogs want and Henderson wants him at UH as well. You never know who you’ll meet in the fishing section at wal mart.
Good job Rick, you know that Coach is going to give your positive feedback to that QB. Good informative post !
Go Coogs !
Thanks. It was a pretty cool story.
“Those are the teams that are consistently calling me,” he asserted. “It depends on the coach – anywhere I see someone who is a step ahead, those are places I’d be open to taking official visits to.”
Ohoho…
So he is going to take official visits elsewhere….
Alrighty then.
In the age of NIL it makes sense that every kid has to gauge their value. Everyone will have an asking price.
