Boom! #1 ranked athlete, 2026 recruit Keisean Henderson commits to Houston

Probably not since he wants to play QB

money talks my man

Not more than playing QB, that is the position.
We got a Heisman in Ware because UT only saw him as a DB.
Plus lots more to it than just money. Some kids know this

I’m hearing that he’s already been offered a lot of money. A lot of blueblood programs have already offered him. He wants to play QB, and UH was about the first to believe in him and give him that shot.

Hopefully that sticks!!

The way kids change their minds I’ll hold off calling this a Boom until the kid signs his LOI. Nice that he’s saying he has decided to come here but at this point it’s just words. Let’s see if he backs it up with action (signature).

He seems like a solid kid, who wanted to stay home. His HS coach played for CWF at Blinn and he knows other coaches at UH who recruited him. Probably wanted the process over so he can focus on Sr. year without distractions. The windfall could be huge given he committed early.

We also got an NY6 from Ward because UT and everyone else recruited him as a receiver.

This is very exciting news, but 2026 is so far away.

1st or 3rd . I’ll take this along with all the positive momentum it brings to the area . I’m hoping he is the Kei :key: to landing many more .

QB, that’s the whole reason he committed, teams didn’t believe in him at QB and Fritz’s/Bell did.

Agree. We have now. Why worry if we don’t need to?

Iron sharpens iron.

Agree. Anything could happen between now and then. Even if he signs with us, the temptation to leave due to NIL may make him a temporary player. But, what the heck, let’s enjoy the prospect of him coming here and see what happens. I’m cautiously optimistic.

No i understand! I still don’t think you can compare. Just the level of talent alone. G was able to get some 3 stars/transfers to come to Uh. But none at the level of talent like this. The 25,26,27 class is already chirping on Twitter about staying home. Henderson could easily be a 5 start QB by his senior year. This might change everything for UH. This is Texas and A&Ms nightmare

I am assuming the young man will stick to his commitment. When I said the 2 years away that means I can’t worry about what goes down in 2026, I meant, I still have 2024 to get through before I can worry about 2025 and 2026.

And lest we forget CTL swiped him from Notre Dame on signing day. That was a good day

By 2026… I am hoping our NIL would be able to match that and more…
