BOOM! Mercy Miller (c/o of 24) Committed

So who is the rich basketball alumni from Rutgers?

And how does a kid from Long Island decide to go to Waco Texas!?

Came across this UH hype video created in 2019 on YouTube. (840sports) @pesik

Master P & Chris Paul came to a game that season. I belive it was a weekend matchup vs Cincinnati at Fertita

Sitting next to Master P…

13yr old Mercy Miller.

Mercy commits to UH in August of '21

And now we’re about 3 months away from him suiting up for UH…

Not sure, but this game vs Cincinnati in 2019, maybe was Mercys introduction to UH basketball

I remember being at the game. I kept reminding myself it was one of the last times I had to watch Cumberland lol

He’s still there…

The box score shows quarters rather than halves?

It may be because Kenpom separates the game into 4 sections to show the flow of the game.

February 10th, 2019 was a men’s game between 12 Houston and 25 Cincinnati.

@Pollardsvision thats just how KenPom shows boxscores on their site

I just included KenPom in my original post, cause it included date of the game

Anyway, moral of the story thank the 2018-19 Coog team, for us getting Mercy Miller.

That team was 27-1. Brought alot of :eyes: to the program

Thanks for clarifying for me.

Master P’s cousin played at Texas Southern in the early 80s - that was the start of being introduced to houston for the family

Master P signed to play at UH when Clyde was HC. He dropped out and never saw the court.

I think master p too old to have signed with Clyde. He’s like 3 years older than me and I started UH 1991.

I guess his Wikipedia is wrong.

I thought he signed with Guy V, but maybe it was Pat Foster. It was before my time at UH.

I thought it was Alvin and he was a walk on. Oh the urban legends.

We can all agree it was NOT under Ray McCallum.

I would venture to say coach will make him a complete player and pro ready. Can’t wait to see him play. If he is the natural scorer I am hearing about, he is going to get some playing time immediately.
