Bracketology 2025

I think I want a seeding that gets the coogs away from an early round match up with a much better than they will be seeded bubble team like Arky
Even if you beat them you are gonna be worn out in the effort
The other probably underseeded but really dangerous team will be Mizzou

I look at the comments and don’t confuse rankings with seedings. Rankings are week to week and a loss can drop you a number of spots. I would expect, that even after Alabama losing last night to Missouri, they’ll still be a number one seed in most brackets, Now if they lose again this coming weekend to Kentucky, then I can see them falling off the 1 line. At this point of the season, I think it takes multiple losses to fall off the 1-line. In most projections, it took ISU 3 losses before they fell off the 1-line.

As for where we’ll play our sub-regional, it’s going to be Wichita. That’s the closest site and region doesn’t matter. Unless there are two schools seeded higher than us and Wichita is the closest site for them, we’re going there. If you look at the brackets, they’ve had Auburn and Alabama in the same sub-regional despite the fact they’re in different regions.

For us to rise to a #1 seed, the SEC teams are going to need to beat themselves up. I see no way that Auburn is going to lose enough games to fall off the 1 line (it would be three losses in a row.) The ACC is soft and I don’t see Duke losing before the ACC tournament (unless it’s a revenge game against UNC) and it’s going to take more than 1-loss for them to fall off the 1-line. We were seeded #8 overall. I expect we have moved up to #7 with Purdue losses. Maybe #6 with A$M losing.

You want to be a #1 seed? Root for Auburn in all games. Root for SEC teams seeded above us to beat one another up, no road wins. Anyone playing Duke. More Purdue losses wouldn’t hurt either. And of course, UH going undefeated for the rest of the conference schedule and tournament.

The correct answer is you “Jimmy the lock” on a side or back window
.very quietly.

Something to consider with the 1 seed stuff, there’s never been a 1 seed that had 8+ losses before the NCAAT. Bama just hit five losses yesterday and still has to play Auburn, Florida, Tennessee, Miss St, Kentucky, and their conference tourney. If they can get through all of that with only 2 losses then they’ve earned it imo, but my moneys on them hitting 8 losses and that historical cutoff point holding up.

Must be my spring break moved up
.dang
.now I’m gonna have to use some days off.

There’s a reason why so many BYU students become pest control salesmen in Texas. We are good at getting doors slammed in our face, but finding the one that doesn’t. That’s how we got in the big 12  we wore them down.

Three men’s college basketball teams that don’t belong anywhere near the NCAA tournament

Why wouldn’t Florida be the top over all one seed if they recently beat Auburn at Auburn ?

Auburn has a vastly superior resume. Arguably the best we’ve seen since the adoption of the NET and the implementation of the quad system. There’s a pretty big gap between them and everyone else from a resume standpoint.

If we’re national championship quality, seeding doesn’t really matter since we’ll have to beat everybody we play regardless of who or where. Like Coach said, health is more important than seeding.

I can’t imagine what I’ll be thinking or how I’ll be feeling if I see Sampson on the ladder on April 7, especially if I’m in San Antonio.

Roberts, Francis are greatly improved.
Uzan is finding his groove.
Wilson is becoming Mr. Dependable.
Arceneaux and Tugler could be great competitors when they’re under control.
The xfactors are Sharp and Cryer as in one or both need to be on. If both are off, no bueno. We can’t have a 2-22 3pt shooting ala Villanova in 22 Elite 8 from them or it will be tough.

Bottom line is to stay out of early foul trouble, continue the already excellent ball security and stay away from long scoring droughts. Good defense is a given and I’m not even worried about free throws anymore.

Do all that and 2025 will be the start of a new era on Cullen Boulevard as NATIONAL CHAMPIONS.

BYU beat Kansas by 34 and dropped a spot in Lunardi’s projection. Nice

Yeah that was super confusing since BYU has been on a nice streak. I would also like to hear more about the possibility of Houston taking a 1 seed
Alabama is really vunerable in my opinion.

Lunardi the Lunatic has been working on brackets for a long time but he makes some idiotic mistakes sometimes.

Maybe it’s been discussed but someone tell me how Lunardi has NC as a “first 4 out” with a 1-10 Quad 1 record!? GTFOH
