everyone likes to say conference tourneys will move the needle drastically from what we see at the end of 31 then when selection sunday comes it looks like the committee mostly made up their minds well in advance so idk
so the way i see it is that running the tables guarantees us no worse than 3rd overall and 4-1 with a loss to KU will still probably be enough to be a 1 since one of the other “top” B12 teams has to lose another one too but the region we end up in might hinge on what happens when iowa state and arizona

I agree with the 1st part. @ KU can only help, shouldn’t hurt. I think anyways. Thank your lucky stars they are good again but behind you.
I am curious about what exactly you mean about the 2nd part tho. What’s your either/or for what happens on 3/2?

When you got invited to the Big 12, you probably had an idea in ur head of how it was gonna go. And you got all that, to a T. And it’s great.
BUT, in no way could you have thought it’d come with an ever-present heaping side dish of whatever the heck this ISU stuff is. Ridiculous. We’re like objectively not even supposed to be a thing either lol.
But once you see it you can’t unsee it. And…
It’s kind of like you finally got to take that hot girl out u’ve been wanting to date for so long, but only if you let her annoying little goofy brother tag along.
But THEN, you learn he can actually hoop a little bit, and now u gotta hear about that too, which makes it even worse. 
But like, you still scored at the end of the day, so it’s not ideal but it’s pretty close, and ya know… he’s not really that bad if u think about, kinda grows on ya.

zona 100% falls to the 2 line in that scenario since we’d both jump them at least in wins above bubble but the question is who ends up 3rd overall between us and iowa state

assuming we beat arizona and handle our last 3 then i see that 3/2 game deciding who that last 1 seed is
if arizona wins that we’d obviously stay in the south though if you at that point win out and we finish 4-1 there’s a small chance we get 4th overall and get shipped west

This just doesn’t cut it as a phenomenal season with this program anymore imo…
E8 bare minimum as a successful season…
But, man… we need to punch through and win it all damn it!

I disagree… that’s a near cakewalk with the exception of Tennessee. Illinois’ defense is paper. Florida is streaky. No one else could touch us.

I respect Illinois, but I think you’re right Illinois isn’t built for UH. As long as you don’t go ice ice cold, but flemings is now you’re automatic antidote to that.
I don’t see Tennesee or Florida having anything for the Coogs. That’s a good looking bracket.
The 1 seeds will have a big advantage this year, and historically. The 2s are good but it’s all about matchup.
The more I think about it, really only 1 2 seed will be a real legit threat IMO, and that’s who gets left out of UH, ISU, and AZ. As long as the 1s dont lay an egg, which WILL happen to someone.

i’d be more worried about florida than tenneesse if we end up with that bracket but that might just be trauma doing the talking
it kind of depends on how goof the regular season is but the crashout on this place would be worse than what it was after we lost to duke if we couldn’t make the final 4 when there’s a decent chance we end up playing tournament games down the street with easily the most talented team we had with cks
