We don’t have enough big wins. Yet. And Auburn falling off a cliff sucks for us.

ISU has wins over Purdue, Iowa, 3-0 in Vegas, Kansas, and Houston. That overcomes their wtf losses which aren’t really that bad, especially if Cincy holds on at Kansas. Up 5 late.

kansas is in an interesting spot, could jump up to a 2 seed still; especially if they beat the coogs but might fall to hang onto a 4 seed by their fingernails if they lose to the coogs.

It is certainly trending like Florida is gonna end up being the 4th 1 seed.

Florida is reminding me of us last year. Lost games early in the year, and got hot and stayed hot.

Aggies are above UCF in NET and KP.

UCF is 20-7, 5-5 quad one, 10-7 quad 1 and 2

eATMe is 19-8, 4-5, 8-8.

Oh, and UCF beat Aggy 86-74 in College Station. Someone make it make sense.

Completely unprompted, my wife just ASKED ME if we can go to Chicago if ISU gets put in the Midwest region.

…I think this is a trap :thinking::flushed:

We are hilariously overrated. A 2 seed. Really? Our best wins are a split vs tech, byu, and arkansas. The Net and Kenpom don’t see the tape is out on us. Good teams would love to play us in the tournament.

I appreciate the humility, and you may be right about the wins etc.

But there’s no way anyone actually wants to play Houston.

Oh brother. I can see this take from a person who doesn’t watch any other college basketball outside of UH. If you did, your tune might change. What seed should UH be in your opinion?

  1. We have a similar record to several 4 seeds and i dont see what makes us any better than them.

I’m pretty sure the majority of the folks here, who spend way more time crying about having a top 10 than being excited about, watch next to zero college basketball outside of UH. They act like there are 20+ teams that are near flawless, win 90% of their Q1a games, never lose to teams outside the top 10, and have top 5 KenPom offensives and defenses.

Better can be subjective but I’d be curious which four seeds you think have clearly better resumes than Houston.

I think we’re going to be a 2 but deserve a 3

North Carolina

Record: 22-6 (10-5 ACC)

Quadrant 1 Record: 6-6

Our quad 1 record is 7-5 and overall record is basically a wash.

North Carolina has beaten Duke. That is literally a top 5 victory in the ncaa this year. We have no win close to that. Not. Even. Close.

Tech (who beat Duke at msg) was a spilt so counts less and tech isn’t a top 5 victory in the ncaa. We blew 3 chances at an elite win. The whole team didn’t even show up for 2 of them as far as I saw. And both of those games we were vegas favorites.

Can we still get better and adjust? Absolutely. No coach better than sampson at that. I’m just saying our resume right now has 0 elite wins and we’ve had ample opportunities.

Your wife sounds like a keeper to me.

FWIW, for seeding purposes. Here is some comparisons to current bracketmatrix 4 seeds and UNC

UNC has losses to SMU, Miami, CAL and Stanford. I can only imagine what this board would be like if we had FOUR losses like that lol.
