Bring back the "Human Tour" - 80s tour of Houston

What an accomplishment!!

Here is the Human in all his glory! (And it is definitely a “he” if you look closely.) :joy:

It was fun. For my next adventure, I’m going to map out a canine companion for The Human.

Map out a female companion while you’re at it.

I’d venture to say he is the only person to have done it in several years.

I’m tempted to reach out to the Daily Cougar to document his doing the tour. May get some on campus students to take up the challenge as well.

The only person on Coogfans, at least.

I do wonder that same thing. Maybe there are some people doing it quietly, but I think it’s something that deserves some publicity. Not for myself (I don’t even like it when people sing Happy Birthday to me) but for the amazing walk that Michael Galbreth put together, and for another way to celebrate what makes Houston Houston.

BTW, I just added it up, I hiked a total of 54 miles over six days to complete the 40-mile loop. In August. :joy: Only on the last day did I not walk back to my car… took the light rail back, so I could make an appointment.

Does that make me a hero? I’ll let people judge for themselves, but I don’t like to call myself a hero. Maybe a “champion”, or “idol”, or “shining example”, or “model of perfection”, but I’m no hero.

I don’t know what others may call you, but I’d call you sweaty AF.

That was a fact. Several days I lost 4 or 5 pounds, in spite of drinking 2-3 liters of water on the hike. Somehow the weight kept coming back though. :frowning:
