The key to not fumbling a punt return is changing your last name to DeGroot.

the CBS team doing this game was terrible. We switched kickers after the missed PAT and Dalton Whitherspoon did the kicking for us and the announcers kept on calling him Novikoff even though he had his name on his jersey.

The announcers had difficulty identifying players all game.

That game was popping in my head as well. Went through a few QB’s in that one too.

That photo looks to be one of Stephen Pinchback.

Definitely give his website a browse as he has tons of great shots from the Rice game:

He is a special athlete. We are becoming the school that athletic QBs go to and know that they are going to see the field while waiting for their chance to play QB. In fact I am not aware of another school that is doing this.

Say it loud enough and pretty soon everyone will be doing it. (just kidding, of course).

Charles, I hear you. But honestly I don’t know of anyone else that is doing this. Its gone from a curiosity to a mode of operation.

Patterson at TCU has made a career our of moving players from their position in high school to somewhere on defense if they were fast. His results speak for themselves.

No doubt, there have been a few that have taken athletes and grown them to play other positions. TCU is notable in that. But I can’t think of anyone that grooms their QBs this way. Brilliant if you ask me.

I agree. Of course that means we’re recruiting players who are agreeable to that type of movement. I understand Julon doesn’t want to play QB, only WR with the possibility of increasing his pro potential.
