Building an embedded culture in UH Football

Certain coaches can galvanize players into a cohesive group through power of personality. Snyder had it, Prime seems to have it. Most build the culture from within. Starting as redshirts and learning “the way”.

We have neither

The guy across the field last night did well at SMU, and took TCU to the title game in year one, by heavily using the portal. So has Prime. What’s the difference?

Prestige and perception . . . . . IMHO, SMU and many other schools have “Name recognition” and with that history comes prestige. I do believe kids, even local kids, would rather say “I’m playing for (you name the school)” rather than saying “I’m playing for Houston.”

Also, due to youth and years of obscurity in the sports world, and being well known as a commuter school, we have the perception of not being a destination school . . . . .

Being a Cooger is still tough . . . . .

Dana brings culture.

PARTY-CULTURE BAY-BEE!
