Sam Houston game didn’t tell me squat. I don’t trust Dana and I don’t trust Belk. But that being said I think this is a big upset. Probably the biggest win of Dana’s UH tenure for various reasons.

I hear the same sentiment. I will take it one step further. They think the own us. What is UH going to do about it? Last time we beat TT, Keenum was QB.

They do own us. But that Keenum win was against the best Tech team we’ve played. Every time we’ve played Tech since then they’ve been beatable. They’re beatable this year, too.

So weird to see that. It feels like we’ve played them 1000 times.
I say no I will believe Dana can win a game against a team with a pulse when I see it. I know Tech isn’t good but goofy stuff seems to happen when we play them for some reason.

I’m seeing 9. I’d take the Coogs and the points.
UH has been in close games with Texas Tech before and as I recall LOST most of them. Without TT’s big gun QB, the spread will go down. I don’t gamble anymore but if did I would take TT and give the 3.5. Don’t scoff. UH lost to RICE.

I do not expect to shut down Tech, but I also expect to score some on them.
I think we are looking at a 2 win season. Dana’s play calling is so predictable everyone in the stadium knows what he will call. Run up the middle on first down, QB run on 2nd down, pass about 10 yards down the middle on 3rd down. Dana will find a way to lose.
meaning we won’t win any more games this year? that would be brutal.
I am by no means overly confident in our team, but I think we find a way to squeak out one or two more at least.

I hope you are right. I want to be wrong. I love the Coogs. But I remember the Dana Dimel winless season. This is starting to feel like that.

Given that we have already won two games, this feels nothing like Dimel’s winless season.

Being 1-12 against P5 teams doesn’t give me much hope but we’ll see. We usually beat teams with no pulse and maybe Tech has given up on 2023.

If we show up for both halves, we might have a chance.
We beat them and head for a 7-5 season.
Originally thought 8-4. Never even considered that we would lose to Rice.
3 Losses: UT, K State, UCF.
Or have a third and goal with 7 seconds left in the half and your quarterback stretches the field and runs the clock out with a terrible short pass that had no chance of scoring

Dana is 0-5 on the road vs current P5s at UH. Average loss is by 16.
This Saturday would be a great time to prove he can do it.
