Can we beat UCF?

If we get UH Weigman and not A&M Weigman and we get Armstrong’s defense and not Belk’s defense, I say yes…yes we can.

Big letdown loss, short week before the bye. Let’s get back on track.

Hopefully getting cooked by WVU will have the team coming out with something to prove against UCF. They scored all of 3 points vs BU.

Here’s the thing…I NEVER felt we were out of the game until that punt hitting our guy’s foot.
The way we moved the ball, I always felt we had a chance to catch them.
But we dug a hole, WVU played above their level, and the football guys decided it was not our day.
Lesson: never take any team lightly based on their record.

Not playing like we did yesterday, we can’t.

Yes, IF we get back to the form we had against ASU.

And believe me, I’d really like to see us improve our all-time record against UCF.

That series is decidedly in their favor at this point.

Yes, we can beat them. And yes, we can lose to them.

More disappointed in Armstrong than any one player or position group.

I’m disappointed in Armstrong, although Rich Rod is crafty at changing his scheme from game to game. I don’t understand it really.
But I’m equally miffed at our inability to run the ball. Conner had negative yardage on 12 carries. If you have less than 70 yards rushing entering the fourth quarter then there’s a strong likelihood you’re gonna lose. The highly touted and complex “Funk-Metric Rushing Ratio” says less than 50 you lose. Less than 100 you likely lose. Between 100-150 toss-up. Over 150 you’re probably winning. Over 200 you highly likely win.

We had 80-sumthin.
They had 246.

Note: the FMRR is legally protected. Any use of its technology will be met with a big #% lawsuit.

Of course we can beat them. That said, we have not played well in their house.

This is something that hit me surprisingly yesterday as well. When we were down 21-7 I had faith we would get back in it. It kinda threw me for a loop because i haven’t had that feeling in a few seasons.

Connor had no clue what the defense was doing. For a dude who has been pretty good at reading defenses, he was atrocious yesterday.

They did a better job preparing their team for this game in every respect.

I think the team was very unfocused going into yesterday’s game and overlooked their opponent. I suspect they will be better prepared to face UCF. The Bounce House is a tough place to play but I am confident the Coogs can pull off a win if they play their game.

On a positive note, even though we took ourselves out of the Top 25, we’re still getting some votes in both polls.

That may be true but no one ran great yesterday. Not just Conner

If QB is healthy. Yes.

We couldn’t even handle crappy WV at home. Imma say we lose against a UCF team at their place.

I think we win. That said, i always get the same feeling playing them as i do when we play Tech. Strange things always seem to happen to us in those games.
