Especially liked seeing a lot of the Eagles players coming to congratulate Case after the game, think he has a lot of respect at his age, still playing at a top level, and on top of it all, a decent human being!!

I remember when Case had long hair.
Never forget, Briles platooned Keenum and Joseph for a year, waiting for RG3 to show up on Cullen. Briles had little confidence in Case. If Briles doesnāt leave for Baylor, if he doesnāt take RG3 with him, if we donāt hire Sumlin/Holgorsen (who said, āweāre not going to platoon QBs, weāre going to have 1 QBā), we MIGHT not be having this conversationā¦and Case might have just been a footnote in UH football history. ā¦of course, the argument could be made that Case would have found a wayā¦maybe transferred somewhere elseā¦or who knows?

Itās true. He was a Baylor guy so instead of watching one of the most successful college players of all time heād just go up to Waco. He did seem like he became a fan after Keenum has entered the draft. But, damn, its absolutely malplractice.
As to Lance Z, I donāt hold much against him but the knuckleheads that were also on his show (particularly one dude who seemed to run the phones/sound) back in the day were just aggie pumpers and would dis Case at every chance.
I remember how jock slobbering they were to Johnny Football. He was going to take over the NFL and Keenum didnāt have what it takes.

Keenum is held in such high regard around the NFL, I think it is inevitable that he coach in the NFL. Why coach in college with all the headaches associated with college football? Keenum will always be part of the UH program and help the program as needed.
When Keenum retires, he will be the biggest NFL free agent assistant coach in history.

espn had an interesting stat:
Case is 4-0 against Fangioās defenses. Let that sink in you of all people a UH alum and radio host. I remember calling his show about Case while he was not even signed by the Texans.
The entire Houston press corps should buy an entire page in the Houston Chronicle and apologized for being so inept at recognizing talent. The measure of a man is to say you were wrong.
