Case to Green Bay?

Saw an article on my feed about the Green Bay Packers maybe having an interest in Case. Would be neat! Not a texan fan. :unamused:

Buffalo, now Green Bay. What about Mills? This ought to tell you who the #2 QB should with the Texans.

It would be great for Case to lead the Packers to a win over the Vikings. Just because they are interested, doesn’t mean Texans will trade him, but depending on what they offer, anything goes.

Casserio drafted Mills with his first pick at Houston, he may be reluctant to admit he was a mistake.

It’s pretty funny the Packers are interested in the Texans ā€œthirdā€ string QB. It makes me wonder about the Texans personnel staff.

It was a 3rd rounder and Mills’ regression last year most partly on him being inaccurate and the dumbassery of Lovey/Pep using Burkhead on 3rd downs over Pearce. He also had very little to work with with his WR group and interior line unable to block on passing downs.

I wouldn’t give up on Mills after two seasons, two HCs, two offensive schemes, and very little talent surrounding him. As much as I love Case and him being here, I would hate for the Texans to trade Mills at his lowest possible value.

I know it was a third rounder, but it was still his first pick since the first and second round picks were traded in the Tunsil deal.

Green Bay is a huge nfl brand and having case play for them will give us pub.

No UH player comes close to playing on as many NFL teams as Keenum. Maybe NFL player for that matter. It is really remarkable. According to his Wink page, he has been on the:

  • Houston Texans (2012-2013)
  • St. Louis Rams (2014)
  • Houston Texans (2014)
  • St. Louis/Los Angeles Rams (2015-2016)
  • Minnesota Vikings (2017)
  • Denver Broncos (2018)
  • Washington Redskins (2019)
  • Cleveland Browns (2020-2021)
  • Buffalo Bills (2022)
  • Houston Texans (2023)

What a network of contacts.

Ryan Fitzpatrick started for nine teams, an NFL record. However Case has changed teams 11 times 2 were to St. Louis/LA Rams, and 3 were the Texans, so he has played for 7 different teams.

He is also the last starting QB for the St. Louis Rams and the Washington Redskins.

Texans would be dumb to trade him. I dont see it happening.

Seriously all I saw was a reporter stating that is what the team should do.

Not much chance of a team complying… At least one would think so.

He’s the only reason I came back to the Texans this year. I know Stroud was a first rounder, still bunk he didn’t get #7 back. Without Keenum, I couldn’t care less about the Texans. I do hope Dell burns it up.

I didn’t catch the game tonight but noticed Case didn’t play again. With the addition of Perry, it looks like they’re either trading Case or Mills.

boooo

Either way, this is a compliment to Case. Teams see he’s worthy of being a true backup QB after seeing other guys. The question is what do Case and the Texans want. Case is in a really good player-mentor situation with the Texans and a guaranteed 2 year deal. That’s regardless of whether he’s 2 or 3, he’s on the team.

agreed - I’d like to see him stay with the Texans if there’s a chance he can get some PT.

Ultimately I’ll support him wherever he gets paid.

Whatever they do with him he’s guaranteed $4 mil on his contract. Hopefully they trade Mills.

U would think he would get tired of moving to different cities all the time, I know the money is worth it but moving is not easy for the family all the time, I’m surprised he doesn’t just hang it up and settle down

plenty of time to settle down once the opportunities stop.

make that money as long as you can!
