I think it will be fewer than ever. Have you been paying attention to it all?
No, what’s up? Other than I’m aware of the importance of this rivalry for the new staff.
I’d be surprised if you had, but you tend to have a pulse on a lot.
So background…
2 years ago Utah was selling seats at a group price of $5. BYU fans bought thousands and the crowd was split 60/40 byu
Last year they had group tickets at $10. It was like a 70/30 Utah split.
This year you couldn’t buy byu tickets until this Monday unless you had season tickets already, or were a crimson club member. You couldn’t even buy the big 12 home game package and get byu.
Monday they list it at $26. Then Tuesday they set limits on group orders at 6 and refunded anything over a group of 6. On Wednesday they increased the price again. I bought last night at $52. This morning they are up to $60.
(All prices listed for upper bowl general admission, they don’t assign seats because the rest of the year has no fans.)
All of this is as I remember… I might be a little off on exact numbers
Tricky tricky!
That’s actually kind of a lot for upper, especially general admission.
Is it bench seating up there or individual seats? I cant really tell because of the lighting.
Individual seats.

As a reminder this is what it actually looks like usually
$50 is cheap. Especially because I’ll be front row of the upper bowl. Here are other get in prices for games at the Marriott center right now
Edit: the one on top that’s cut off is Utah at the Marriott center. And the Marriott center holds 3k more people

For a place with no fans it kinda is a bit pricey$$ tho!
Nebraska at Indiana was a good 1st half.
Kansas in a BATTLE with West Virginia. Final 2 mins of 1st half…tied up!
It’ll actually be a super interesting case study one day. (Especially now that they have PE)
The group of people you want to sell to don’t want it.
The group that wants to buy is a group you don’t want to buy the tickets so you limit it.
The PE wants to be profitable.
The higher your price goes, the more you price out the apathetic desired costumers and the non desirables are still incentivized because it’s 20% of the cost of the good where they are located.
Yeah, you could make a theoretical case it’s more profitable overall to make the team seem as successful as possible rather than maximize in-person attendance in this particular case, I suppose.
But either way, to your point, everything will have to be argued thru a profitability lens. So you’d have to be creative and that particular argument is debatable at best.
truly screwed either way lol
All that to say I think it’s a 70/30 split for Utah in a not sold out game
WVU about to drop Kansas
The B1G commercial is… beautiful
WVU up 12 with 35 seconds. Kansas is a ten seed that’ll get a 6.
NC State is beating down Fla St in a bad way.
This is all Houston’s fault. You broke them.
self just got T’d up
Yeah but, F the big ten tho.
