iowa just gamed the metrics vs a weak schedule by design. Lots of teams do it. Cincinnati is another great example last two years, makes Wes’s failure even more inexcusable. Cincy has had soooo much runway and still can’t land the plane lmao.
ISU did it when Otz 1st took over to facilitate a quick turnaround. iowa still won’t have a resume that will be rewarded without a healthy share of Q1 wins regardless of NET and KP.
That ISU team ended up in the Sweet 16, so ppl forget they were just barely off the bubble as a last-four-bye 11 seed.
Iowa was a projected 7 seed last I looked, even with their high KP and NET. If they don’t get a handful of Q1 wins, they will pay for it. It even kept Fran’s teams out the last few times too.

Watching UNT v Wichita State at Wichita. the roundhouse used be packed and great atmosphere. we had some good games against them. since CGM was fired, that program has suffered.

Not really. Can’t speak from a Coog perspective either on these two, specifically.
But, if Cincinnati wins, it helps nobody. Wes is done no matter what, and they aren’t making the tournament.
UCF has a good shot to make the tournament. We want more than 6. So…idk i guess im kinda rooting for UCF i guess.
