So their rotation is basically Drake + Cooper Koch and Folguieras, a transfer finesse big from Robert Morris.
They also have KState sharpshooter Brendan Hausen, but so far heās not playing much lol. Canāt defend thanks to Tang!!!

Iowa is very weak/soft on the interior, and lacks overall athleticism and depth. Shut down Stirtz and there are problems, just like Drake had last year (which isnt surprising since this is largely the same team).
Joshua Jefferson is going to have a big game, and Iowa State will clean up the O glass against this team .

He does. But at this rate their offense would make Cincinnati feel bad for them. Scoring is an adventure and they play slooooooow by design.
Hes a good coach. Just saying. Will be interesting to see this long haul. I do think heāll be better than Fran but idk if itāll be by much.

They have athletes and they were surprisingly not tired against ISU. I kind of like them in a way. Intriguing.
Their problem was their offense amounted to jacking 3s and hoping for a putback. Not a believer in their coach.

They dont have the talentā¦yet. It will be interesting to see if he evolves the offense with better talent, or tries to āfitā guys in this construct. I think hes smart ebough to do the former but time will tell.
For now he kind of has to play this way

When it was 7 to 7, this pace looked like GREAT coaching.
Now at 26 to 10ā¦it looks like heās out of his league.

In fairness, nobody on this team had played in anything close to this kind of environment. Sure, NCAAs has pressure, but not 16k raucous fans rooting against you.
This isnt surprising. This is completely new for everyone, including the coaches
