I just saw the score…glad I don’t bet.

PV is 11-14 from the 3 pt line.

I just saw that LSU has taken 29 FTs with almost 17 minutes left in the game. :no_mouth:

SEC refs just gave PVs PG a F2 and he is out of the game….

LSU is in the bonus with 16:16 left :joy::joy::joy::joy:

they somehow have to keep lsu in the top 40 in the net so they can be a body bag for the rest of the teams in the sec lol

Last stat I got had it 23-14 favoring LSU in PF’s.
PVA&M is currently better from the FT line 88% to 86%.

Hilariously upgraded. Not even looking at the success so far (which for sure supports Young to this point.)

Pope is really emotional and peppy but people around the program said it was fake so he will have a limited shelf life. He could not get booster support and said BYU BBall NIL would always be very limited.

Kevin Young is very even and seems like the kind of guy who can build something for the long haul.

that would have been an elite add for us

And he would have been a next year guy for us. Maybe a big part of the reason he went with BYU.

I could see that. Like he was interviewing for those Kentucky people watching him from afar instead of truly trying to connect with BYU people.

I like Young. He reminds me of someone a calm stoic Hoiberg would have on his staff precisely because he is so different than him personality-wise, but can hang with his general view of things, which honestly isn’t very common in elite college programs.

And Hoiberg would often just be always be kinda smirking and shaking his head at how brash and unapologetic Kevin Young is…in a good way.

He would like it, and that’s why he’d respect it. And they’d agree on basketball and how to run a program 99.9% of the time, because they both tend to see things thru more an NBA-style lens.

Like an Otzelberger was much more of a functional relationship and one of mutual usefulness between him and Hoiberg. But they probably didn’t agree a whole lot when push came to shove on bigger picture stuff.

Neither style is wrong, just very different at its core of cores. Obviously Otz learned from Hoiberg and borrows some stuff time from time to time.

Like they’re good friends now and all that, but it’s a credit to Hoiberg he saw that needed to retain this young guy who he didn’t know and had less in common with, and they both probably had to work to build that close relationship with each other.

But that’s who Fred is, and I could see Young being similarly good at incorporating new things and being open-minded. I could see Young and Hoiberg being on the same page a lot. Just watching BYU play brings back a lot of fond memories about a lot of things Hoiberg would say at ISU… about what the game is and how it should be played. @BYUcougarfan
