Be careful what you wish for.
What we need Buchanan for the most is rebounds. Problem is, he doesnt pay attention when balls go up, is constantly out if position, and doesnt fight at all in his block outs (if he even blocks out). This results in him missing out on some easy boards, some reasonably attainable ones, and a few contested ones. Hes had some stretches where he will fight and unsurprisingly the results follow.
Since conference started hes had ONE game with more than 6(edit) rebounds. His norm has been 3 to 5 rebounds in most contests. Keep in mind, Jefferson is (far too) often out at the 3 point line, meaning Buchanan is THE MAN on the inside. That kind of production with 25 to 27 minutes a game is pathetic.
If Blake simply did what he should be doing hed be an 8 rebound a game player. As is, 85 percent of his boards are uncontested.
We wont even get into the defense where hes increasingly pulled from tbe Jefferson playbook of ill-advised traps/doubles. We got torched about 4 times because of Blake. Bad traps = easy buckets.

But the highest any mock has him is 48. Even ISU can pay more than that lol.
He will get the BIGGEST NIL we have by Far. He’ll get the Joshua Jefferson Treatment.
To earn more than that, he’d have to get into the late 1st round.

FWIW our NIL next year takes a HUGE jump thanks to the house settlement too. Nearly 2X.
FTR, i don’t disagree with this at all.
He’s a much better defender, hes tall as crap, and hes the best shooter in the country. They’re outta their minds.
Ironically, the NBA likes em young too. So hes got that going against him too for whatever reason.

Momcilovic’s problem is that he has absolutely zero game off the dribble. He can’t create his own shot. He has the little mid range fadeaway, but he’s not 6’10 so that doesn’t translate to the NBA. He got absolutely shut down in back to back games just from guys forcing him to dribble the ball and not giving up catch and shoot opportunities. He’s an NBA shooter, but that’s it. So he will get drafted, just not high
