100% his call. Game could have been played at 7 pm when the sun was down and it was reasonable outside. But Pez and the group who sit in air conditioned suites wanted to be home early. Great leadership.
Good news, Dana can still make it to Steak 48! Pez and Dana give no shits about the fans.
it was 94 at 5pm, what was it; 90 at 7pm ? 2 hours would not make a difference. Houston in deep September. you go to an outdoor sports event in Houston May thru 1st week of october; expect 90 plus, minimum.
I thought the networks set the game times.
To be fair, people complain about 7:00 kickoffs too. They say it’s too late to go out after the game.
Why do you think people are hanging out in the concourse? 90 in the sun is not like 90 without sun. And NO the network did not dictate the kickoff time, the game was internet only, kickoff was Pez’s call.
Theyre rich. You are right.
If Pez was so pro 5pm kickoff he should have sat where the students were, it was miserable. But he enjoyed his AC. UH blaming the consumer is our true tradition
This game did not have to be played at 5 pm in Houston heat. It was on ESPN+. This was the school’s call.
90 is 90. it was 80 at 4am today, i was out in it; welcome to Houston.
It’s not only the temperature…it’s the sun blazing down on us without shade.
The sun is just not as potent at 7 compared to 5
School = PEZ. It was his choice. He will never answer to it and our crap media will never ask.
Shade is too complicated for the Pez lovers
If you think it was hot sitting in the stands…
Try standing on the sidelines or playing in full pads and helmets.
The ambient air temperature may be the same, but being in the sun means you’re taking on additional solar radiation that you’re not getting in the shade.
It makes a difference.
We moved to concourse at 445 because the sun was right in our face. The end zone was packed with people looking for shade.
It’s been almost 10 years since the stadium opened.
Listen to the fans and make the necessary upgrades the stadium needs!!!
Roof
AC bathrooms
Escalator
Bathrooms on 2nd floor
Geez man freaking listen
Do I have to teach a class on radiation heat transfer? 90 in the sun feels different than 90 in the shade. I’ll bring my old heat transfer textbook to the next tailgate and explain it to all interested parties. It’s really a fairly simple concept. We can use some cold beers in shade vs. in sun to demonstrate.
Thank you. At 5pm it was great in the concourse IN THE SHADE. but Pez and his folks needed to leave before 9, customers be damned.
