Lots of cancellations out west so is the Pac calling forfeits?
every major conference (p5+ be) as of 2 days ago all altered their policy to abandon their forfeit policy… the aac is the only “major” conference to still have one… but like i said i think that will be changed as early as monday

No confirmation from UH yet. We will probably hear tomorrow or Monday.
if the forfeit policy for some wierd reason stays (which i doubt), yes the loss will go on our record, and affects our standings for the conference title race but it would not affect anything ncaa tourney related in the aspect fo selection

College hoops may want to take another look at the protocols. If everyone is vaccinated, the risks are pretty minimal for any protracted or serious illness. It’s a calculated risk that may be worth taking among young and healthy athletes. FWIW, the optics will be awful.

They NCAA should be proactive and put a buffer week, or two, between the end of the regular season and the start of conference tourneys so postponed conference games could be made up… It seems to me this forfeit rule was put in place to encourage vaccination within programs in the conference… Now we know being vaccinated doesn’t stop you from testing positive… Teams shouldn’t be punished for that with forfeits.
