In the NFL it would probably be Mike Tomczak and before him Art Schlichter which shows what outstanding OL and defense can do for you.

I don’t think upper body strength will be a concern. I think coordination is what’s most important. A lot of guys struggle with technique due to frame size once they get over 6’5 and trying to play offensive tackle. If his technique is good, it doesn’t matter how strong he is, no one is moving or getting past 338 pounds of excellent blocking.

All this is true, I haven’t seen any video of him, but I’m guessing his technique may also be a bit raw still as well. Because if I’m a scouting service if he possessed top end strength and technique already with his frame and size I’d venture he’d be one of the top prospects in the country ratings wise.

None of this is a bad thing about the young man. He’s plenty young and had a ton of time to hone his craft to be an elite prospect going into his senior year. If not some University hopefully us will have an incredible chance to mold and develop a potentially outstanding lineman.
