They’re gonna be great around the arc, but you know what, great inside too. And ppl say they wanna bring the speed, but they can’t all say they bring the speed. But it’s not just speed. They’re gonna be efficient. They’re gonna play with pace, be efficient, have a great assist mindset, and never change that mindset. They will never change. Except when they have to change. But it will still be the same. Because their fans will see that they have five year players. Who never change. But not now they’re gonna change the whole roster. Go Belmont.
Hahaha great breakdown! I love it
He continues to say “my time is nearing an end” …“it’s a young man’s game”…
I do not want to see a Randy Bennett team every year in the B12. No sirree…

For the past 5 years lol
The Big12 just got better.
Randy Bennett to Arizona State

Gonzaga leaving the WCC, certainly a factor in him leaving Saint Marys
Creighton historically has had a good basketball program. Better than state flagship Nebraska.
Those seem like 2 really solid hires at ASU and Cincy. At the very least they should be regular tourney teams sooner rather than later. Big12 really needs to start getting to double digit bids.
This should put the Mercy to ASU rumor to rest
Sheesh the B12 is stacking up the coaching talent.
Bennett
Drew
McCasland
Otzelberger
Sampson
Self
Someone on this list is finishing 5th or 6th in the league and isn’t getting a double bye in the B12 tournament any given year lol
If you ask their fan bases, Drew and Self underachieved.
Beauty is always in the eye of the beholder. In coaching, it is “What have you done lately?”
I think this is a great fit, makes a ton of sense.
As for Cincy, not sure it’s a great fit. Might be
. I’d need to know more about his background that specifically translates directly to Cincinnati or somewhat close it via direct or indirect relevant ties (or lacktherof) before I’d feel comfortable predicting if he’s gonna be successful there or not.
Just a guess, but I’d imagine hiring the hottest random darling riser or hot name with no ties whatsoever… be it personally, professionally, or regionally etc to a given schols flames out brilliantly more often than it works, irrespective of raw coaching ability in a vacuum.
Maybe it’s a homecoming or return to old stomping grounds for him, but USU to CU just seems like you’re crossing a lot of dividing lines, distance culture etc, to make that move? I know nothing of his background tho so it’s entirely possible he’s a fantastic fit.
ASU you gotta give that high marks tho, imo.
ESPN reporting that Hubert Davis is out at North Carolina.
This makes me semi-nervous. That is a top 3 job.
Who do they go for?
My list if I were UNC:
Golden
Hurley
Otz
Especially with CKS’s ties to NC
Not to worry. This is the school that hired that casanova Bill Belicheck as football coach.
