A good read ahead of spring football.
I heard he is starting to look like the blue chipper we hoped for
I hope its not because he is facing our defense.
I think he’s going to be nails here.
No body does less with more than Texas A&M.
They have an endless supply of oil and NIL and still can’t figure it out. He had to deal with the fall out of Jimbo and feel the growing pains of a new coach.
Fresh beginnings is always a good thing
It wouldn’t surprise me if minimum 2 and, possibly, 3 QBs currently on the roster are not there in the fall.
If it becomes reality, I expect we pull one from the portal
Let’s just hope he’s not another Kyle Allen
Injuries happen and it doesn’t mean a player is injury prone, it means he’s unlucky. Look at Tank Dell’s injuries with the Texans – flukes. That a teammate, who shouldn’t have been in that spot, fell on his leg and resulted in a horrific accident is just unlucky.
But, given time to heal, good players return to form. Look at Dillon Gabriel from UCF and Oregon. He also had a horrific injury and was a star at Oregon.
It’s a good article but I am little concerned there is no mention of his A/C joint being 100%.
This makes sense why his accuracy fell off a cliff last year. It’s possible the first shot he took for the Mizzou game made him feel like he could conquer the world (which he most certainly looked like it) and then it wasn’t as effective after that. Who knows.
Kind of feel bad for the kid that he was playing through injury all last season and Ags just tossed him to the curb like a slightly used pair of shoes.
I hurt my AC joint in BJJ last year and it took months to heal. A lot of activities were fine, and I wouldn’t notice it. Then some activities were excruciating. I kept training BJJ the whole time, but an incline bench was almost unbearable, and I couldn’t turn my lamp off at night without using my other arm to hold the bad one up.
A talentd QB? We put Kyle in the wrong system. So lets hope we have an offense Connor can run effectively. Ohh and Connor would have to be perfect to best Allen’s completion record against Rice.
Exactly. Allen was a very good QB but a really bad fit for Applewhite’s offense. He was a pocket passer, not Greg Ward.
You said it…AGAINST RICE
Didn’t he throw 4 or 5 interceptions in one game? I think it was the Texas tech Game.
Glad he landed in the NFL but that game, against a P5 defense, was telling.
yeah…he was on the short list for one of the worst QB’s that ever played for UH
Nope
Two picks vs Tech. You’re pretty tough on a guy who got three starts here. But yes i do hope Conner has a better UH career.
He played 3 games for us, threw 4 TDs and 4 picks with a 76.2% completion percentage.
I think I saw 2 QBs just this past season play worse than that.
He’ll look great handing off most of the game.
