Since we joined the Big 12, there hasn’t been an Academy, Dick’s, Walmart or Rally House where I haven’t seen at least some Coog gear.
We don’t have crap at The Hoodlands Academy. Unless something changed in the last few weeks.
That’s impressive, and plenty of Blue for Saturday.
This store almost always has a good selection.
8s - If you’ll confirm which location you’re talking about, I’ll pass along a note to our licensing/merchandise contact. I’m assuming 1360 Lake Woodlands Dr?
This is the one. They had a decent selection up until a year or two ago.
Baytown Academy has NEVER had COOG gear. I gave up looking so I’ll check again this afternoon and confirm
Thank you both for the replies! Our team will contact the buyers for Academy to look into it.
I can confirm TW location has a terrible selection of Coog gear. It has not had much for many years and managers seem uninterested in discussing adding items - like when Blue rolled out. Personally, this year I no longer even shop there for any sports gear due to frustration with their lack of support.
Just checked, Baytown Academy has ZERO selection of COOG gear, not one stitch of clothing!! Rally House, please come to the East Side!!
Academy can be very much hit or miss… the Tomball Academy has fallen off a lot… thankfully we have a great Rally House near by! ![]()
Same at Academy and Dick’s in Conroe.
It’s interesting that we have so little presence over there; they’re farther away from Texas and A&M than the rest of the city, and there’s not even a local four-year college – Lee seems to feed mostly into UHCL. There have gotta be some inroads to be made, both on the Academic and Athletic sides.
@JeffM_CP all the Academys in spring woodlands, porter are all Aggie holes!
Academy in Meyerland typically has twice as much Coog gear as Horn + Aggie combined. That’s my go-to.
The one at Greenbriar and 59 is usually good too (as posted by OP)
