The Eagles have quite a crowd at wide receiver, with Jeffery, Agholor and Mack Hollins back, Wallace and Markus Wheaton in the fold and guys like Bryce Treggs, Shelton Gibson and Rashard Davis all also in the mix.
But Ward doesn’t concern himself with the numbers.
“The next step for me is to separate myself,” he said. "As a competitor, especially coming from being undrafted, you have to separate yourself. You have to be different.
“You have to catch whoever’s eye it is, head coach, position coach, catch everybody’s eyes. They have to see value in you. That’s where I am right now. Trying to separate myself.”

I know it’s not what you would call a pipeline in the traditional sense, but we are starting to form a pipeline with the Red Blacks in the CFL. Hopefully it continues to draw eyes at our program for players that can’t make it to the NFL but can still have a career after their college career is over.

* With strong safeties Chanceller James (knee), Marcell Harris (Achilles) and Don Jones (unknown) not practicing this spring, the 49ers don’t have a lot of depth behind starter Jaquiski Tartt. Undrafted Terrell Williams Jr. from the University of Houston worked with the second team today and even took a few snaps with the would-be starters. He’s got intriguing size at 6-4, 212 pounds and wears a number — 6 — that also makes him stick out. Williams had an interception on Wednesday off of a tipped pass from C.J. Beathard.

Leone, Rogers, and Allen will all dress. Bonner will sit out this preseason game.
Winnipeg still has Na’Ty Rodgers on their Roster and will play their first preseason game on Friday against Edmonton. Edmonton had Phillip Hunt on their roster the last few years, but cut him in the offseason…he hasn’t signed with anyone.
Markeith Ambles is trying to make it in the CFL again with Calgary…they play British Columbia Friday. He originally signed with Toronto in 2016, but didn’t make it on the final roster.
Marcus Oliver was cut by Saskatchewan and hasn’t been picked up.
All CFL games will be shown on ESPN+ with a select few shown on ESPN2 during the regular season.
“He played a lot of nickel out in Oakland,” Jaguars defensive coordinator Todd Wash said. ″We evaluated him a year ago and we liked him as a nickel. Then he goes to Detroit and doesn’t play a lot of nickel, but we knew he had that skill set.
“We are really locking him in at that position. He is getting a lot of reps in our sub package at nickel. You see him growing within our package.″

Kid is a hard worker that was behind others on the depth chart. Think he’s a good fit where he’s at and hope he sticks.
