Tulane has never been a member of the Sun Belt conference…They were a longtime member of the SEC, after that an independent, then an original member of CUSA along with us, before joining the American…

Not only that, BUT

a) Fritz wasn’t the Tulane Head Coach in 2014, AND
b) Tulane was 3-9 that year, and not the champion of ANY conference.

Fritz didn’t take over Tulane until 2016.

That said, Fritz did lead Georgia Southern to the Sun Belt title in 2014.

He led Tulane to the AAC title in 2022…plus a Rose Bowl win over USC and final #9 finish in both polls.
