Sad thing is that UT Austin will be at the Toyota Center along with the Aggies for that Lone Star Shootout.

Hoping attendance there is about the same as that UT-UCLA game at NRG a few years back that only drew around 2K.

All right…need a good ole beat down tonight from the COOGS.

Meyer and Chicken starting this game as Davis is still out.

9-6 COOGS, 15:57 left in the half

UT-RGV are 5-8, but have won 3 in a row. They did lose to Memphis by 19 earlier in the season. Looks like they can score as they’ve only been held to less than 70 twice this season, but struggle on D as they’ve only held 2 teams to less than 80.

Gray with his 2nd foul with 13 to go in the half.

20-10, COOGS with 11:48 left

26-14 with 8:03 in the half. COOGS not having many problems so far.

39-26 COOGS at the half. Dotson has 16, Chicken has 10, Gray has 3 fouls in limited play.

Former NBA player, Xavier McDaniel’s son is playing for UT-RGV (Xavier McDaniel Jr).

44-33 with 15:45 left. COOGS letting them hang around.

58-38 with 11:38 to go. Dot up to 22 now as the COOGS decided to put this away.

67-40 now. COOGS pouring it on.

Gray up to 17 now.

Dotson with 25 & 10.

COOGS lead 79-55 with 3:43 left.

Coogs win 83-58. They held UTRGV to their lowest output of the season (previous was 67 to Iowa).

Nice, dominant win. Next up, Liberty on Wednesday.

I love Brooks. I just wish he could’ve finished that tomahawk drive late in the second.
