"First job I had was newspaper delivery boy, I wasn’t very good at it, but I got paid and wasn’t fired."
That little quote says a whole lot too me, about his attitude. Amongst a few others in this article. He’ not very good HC, either but he getting paid a sh*t load of money for being one.
From the outside looking in it appears to me that Houston has been up and down all season. Maybe you have a young team???
His seat was well-past hot after the Rice game
West Virginia was mere luck, but the Texas game would’ve cooled it down had we won.
K State blowout hears it up again
I was bad at another job and didn’t get fired.
Hopefully we can change the trend.
Sometimes I think Dana says stupid things just to rile up Coogfan posters.
Chuggerson needs to go. Simple as that. Doesn’t win. Poor attitude and more smug than a popped collar on a SMU Chad.
Why keep him? What benefits are there?
So we are back to discussing what he said before the season?
And what is wrong with that?
If you had provided this quote without a name attached, I’d think this sounds like something Dana would say. UH can do better!
Smith, thank you for bringing the Count into the mix. Gives the argument gravitas.
At the end of the day, athletics is marketing for a university. It’s how it’s justified. Otherwise, it makes no-sense for 98% of the schools out there to sponsor athletics. If you’re a marketer, is Dana your spokesperson? He could have a winning record, go to a bowl, and beat Texas. He is not marketing the university in a positive light. He has to go. $4 million is less than 0.5% of our budget. To keep him is irresponsible.
…but…but…if Dana does goes go who’s gonna do the portal? You? The portal isn’t just a way to get second-hand cast-offs. It’s a way of life. Think about the bigger picture.
