This mean he’s off our payroll?

No, I believe it nets out so our net payout is his UH contract minus what Nebraska is paying him.

If that’s the case why would Nebraska pay him more than a dollar a month?

Because there is probably legal stuff that would not allow them to do that. He needs to be paid at a market rate for the position he is taking.

Look out Lincoln, NE! Dana is on the prowl!

I wish Dana the best.

I think it’s a good fit for him.

Our former baseball coach Roland Walton coached for a dollar a year and maintained the field and stands out of his own pocket. One time he had his helicopter hover and dry the field before a game. I think he owned a trucking company.

They don’t make em like they used to.

  1. Yes, I believe he is paid the going rate for a Big10 OC, so it reduces what we pay him, and,
  2. Perhaps Nebraska has a good QB, otherwise…

This should be good.

Lucky for them there is no water on which ships could sail…

They want to go from an 11 & 12 personnel run game to a … wait that’s what Dana does … Nebraska gonna TAKE IT UP THE MIDDLE!!!

Won’t be hard to find DH at the bar of the Varsity in Lincoln.

Good luck NE. Wait until he says “I can’t coach this chit”.

I would not be surprised if he does not turn back into a good OC. Most of the problems we had with him were his terrible defense and lack of interest in recruiting and most other aspects of being a head coach.

Agreed. Wouldn’t surprise me at all.

Damn! I knew we should of kept him, now I am having seller’s remorse.

Better OC than head coach. Wish him well

He got paid, but he was always lazy.
If you drop out of coaching too long, you will not be invited back.

He better have a CK at QB or his stuff won’t work.

And Rhule should know he checks out at 5:00 to maintain that work life balance…

Was Holgorsen moonlighting the Nebraska gig while still at TCU? Three weeks ago he was at TCU, then suddenly, he leaves TCU and is named offensive consultant at Nebraska, and a week later, Holgorsen is named OC? I thought you needed to understand your personnel, the schemes they are currently running, and be familiar with the competition. That can happen in two weeks? Is Holgorsen a MENSA graduate we didn’t know about?

There seems to be more to this story that is not being reported.

In truth OC is his natural calling.

Becoming a Head Coach was The Peter Principle in action.

Predict success for him at Nebraska.
