Deeper and Deeper at Rape U

The NCAA will probably come down hard on BU; may cost them 30 minutes of spring practice.

Ideally that would be best. I really don’t think the big 12 wants anymore Texas teams so if they exercise that option we SHOULD be in. Most of the STATE schools in a $$$ conference makes too much sense. Let baylor spend time in purgatory for their sins.

You contradict yourself in that statement.

I doubt the Big 12 drops Baylor. Yes, it can happen, but the question will be if they want to deal with the eventual lawsuits that Baylor will submit. With OU/UT looking at exit plans, the last thing they want to become embroiled in is anything that would tie them to the conference down the road. As @Buyercoog pointed out, until the sponsors start pulling out or the fans of the other schools demand something, the Big 12 will continue rolling along.

Now, if anything else happens in the near future under Rhule, or violations occur under other programs, they may revisit.

The NCAA is so mad at Baylor, they’re going to give HBU a year of probation.

The sponsors need to drop B12 and Baylor to make anything happen. The NCAA is powerless.

Baylor’s issues are criminal and Title IX in nature. Neither is really in the normal scope of the NCAA. People need to do jail time and the University needs to pay big fines. Athletic penalties will almost have to be self-imposed. If Baylor has any moral compass they will self-impose some penalties on the FB program. If they don’t they will keep right on like nothing happened.

So they’ll keep right on like nothing happened then. Got it.

It’s the Baylor way.
