Deontay Anderson DB transfer from Ole Miss

Ole Miss has a 2 year bowl ban which makes players transferring out eligible to play right away.

Yes!! We needed a CB! Great news. Hope some old miss Texas recruits jumping continues. If there’s one thing Applewhite can do is recruit!

Is transferring to UH!!

Wow if he can play right away that would be great.

Juniors and Seniors, because his eligibility extends further than that he has to apply for a waiver.

A four star out of high school and ranked the number two prospect at safety in the nation!

No, he doesn’t count against this years class, he does count against the 85 total. This was stated by a person who is in the know on these things.

I didn’t realize that his uncle is Greg “Cadillac” Anderson. Good DNA.

It always helps when your football program is producing actual NFL draft picks in recent years. Plus there’s an absolute first round (probably top 10) NFL Draft lock on the squad now.

We just need the coaching to meet the standard of player quality.

TOP 5!

This guy is big time. Future pro as well. Michigan wanted him soooo bad. Glad he chose the Coogs.

I can see the NCAA allowing immediate eligibility with two years left but not three. They are pretty consistent on immediate eligibility only when the postseason ban covers a player’s ENTIRE remaining eligibility. Nice pick up either way.

ole miss is a unique circumstance. it was bad enough to get a 2 year bowl ban, it wasnt an isolated incident
and most kids who file arent doing it with a lawyer
he is lawyered up
i actually think he will get immediate eligibility and all 3 years, so will shea patterson at michigan
even if the ncaa says no, theyd take it to court and then would easily win (forcing them to stay in a place where they themselves admit was being run badly), i doubt the ncaa lets it gt that far

but thats just my opinion, who knows

The reason he lawyered up is he asked about the investigation during his recruitment and was lied to.

HUUUUGGGGEEEE pick-up by CMA and staff. Welcome home young man !
