Why Cincinnati over Memphis? Just football?

Yeah it’s gotta be football plus their history in basketball. Close travel partner to WVU also.

Better school, better history, closer to WVU. Memphis at any point could become irrelevant in football again.

History and academics seem irrelevant. Money is what talks. So what’s more marketable about Cincinnati? I doubt one football game a year with WVU is the reason.

After 30+ yrs in Houston as Sports reporter he lost it all w ONE report. Saying CKS was headed to Arky n it was “done deal”. CKS was not happy w him for awhile n gave him tough time when he would ask a ? on media days.

Pretty sure they have better tv ratings and attendance. Someone can check.

Academics matter to some degree and Cinci is far better than Memphis.

Bigger market.
Closer to WV.
Probably bigger overall budget and their own stadium and arena.

B12 should go to 14, taking Memphis and one other.

Do those guys, Leftover8, still not understand they need a buffer?

-no playoff expansion

-Big 12 loses “power” designation (wonder why ACC, Big 10 and Pac 12 didn’t send an invite to the “alliance” ? )

-only “Power 4” champions go to playoff.

you heard it here first!

My question too. But I keep reading that old message board blather about, “travel partner.”

I would be fine with it. Throw in USF to save on travel costs for other sports.

Will Big 12 be better than PAC 12 in football?
