Auburn loses two in a row, and UH has gone 19-1 in last 20 games, in conference, and we can’t move ahead of them? That’s crap.

They beat us head to head and have a great record against a very tough schedule…being ranked ahead of us is not unreasonable

I also think the ACC is very soft this year, so I’m not so sure how good Duke really is

Half of the ACC is outside the top 100. Every single Big12 team finished in top 100.
Add to it 18 teams and a funky schedule and you will see that Duke only played Clemson, Louisville, and SMU once each. And yeah, kinda sad that SMU finished tied for 4th.

Duke beat Auburn
Ive never seen a team lose two games in a row and drop just one spot. They also lost by double digits at aggie. Buy whatevs…doesnt really matter.
They’ve got the same record as us, the H2H, and a much higher SOS. None of us should be upset about them being ranked higher than us because if the roles were reversed none of us would think we should be ranked behind them.

Exactly, the rankings are about how you are playing now… again auburn lost back to back games this week and one was to A&M ranked 22! Repeat A&M was ranked 22.
Houston beat lots of good teams over last few wks, Tech, Iowa st, Kansas, Arizona, byu, etc…
We might get surprised tomorrow and uh might be #2. If ranking committee is fair.

Honestly, when you have the #1 sticker on your back, you will get everyone’s most outstanding, stupendous, nothing to lose game, #3, yes, people are aiming at you but #3 is no #1. The news is not the same when you beat them.

Duke plays in the easy ACC, their schedule shows they played nobody ranked in all of their conference games, so they haven’t beated a ranked team since Dec 2024 and lost to unranked Clemson.

Duke didn’t play any ACC teams that were ranked when the game happened but Clemson is currently 10th in the country. They also beat Louisville who is ranked 14th. The ACC was definitely down this year but they still have a great chance at putting multiple teams into the E8.
