Eddie Nuñez on Talkin’ Bout Them Cougars tonight

I went from 6 tix from 96-2020 to 4 to zero. Blacking out games would just make it easier for me to fully ignore UH football unless its an away game.
Blacking out local games is not going to drive fans to attend in person. Thats just dumb.

I still find it hard to beleive the AD at a P5 university that brings much revenue to UH, cant put pressure on the head of the parking and transportation department to stop charing fans $50. Nunez was quoted saying he was frustrated with the parking prices. Khator is not going to listen to the AD and tell the dumby running the parking department to stop gouging fans? Blaming the transportation department and saying you have no sway seems bit of a cop out to me

Dave Maggard will be the first to tell you from experience that Khator is the actual AD, not Nunez. He hated her so much he resigned. He was our last good AD IMO (not judging Nunez yet).

So sounds like Khator is all for nickle and diming fans. Maybe she should leave the pricing of concessions and parking to the athletic department. I really hope she is not getting in the way of better pricing for growing attendance and the fan base. It is better to grow the fan base and get close to 35,000 fan a game increasing revenue through that and not throuh trying get every dollar from current fans and ticket holders

Came for the game but I’m coming back for the shade :sunglasses:

I was told no aerosol cans allowed at the WVU game. Had to throw away my sunscreen. Was told I could go “check it in” at some trailer. I was juggling a 3 yr old, so I just tossed it.

There is a third party that runs parking now. They spent a lot for the entire parking concession on campus. The Board of Regents approved the contract, because it’s worth multi millions.

And I’m sure the revenue from athletic events was a big selling point.

How much does TSU charge for parking on game day?
Tailgating is huge when it comes to college and pro sports. There has to be a “creative” way to find the right medium and not charge $Billions for parking. Is ACE the parking operator?

TSU’s games are at the soccer stadium, so those garage and lot owners dictate parking costs.

Now knowing that UH essentially sold off its parking rights, that seems like a lever that can’t really be changed much during the term of the contract unless both parties are willing to renegotiate.

TSU usually plays homecoming on that tiny campus stadium. I think they did this year.

I’ve always wondered why the don’t play at TDECU? Anyone know?

Probably for a lot of the same reasons they weren’t playing in Robertson. They, uh, aren’t our biggest fans, historically.

I don’t know where you sit, but my tickets in Section 127, lower bowl chairbacks cost $120 each per game, including the mandatory CP donation.

I remember when we played a game or two there while TDECU were being built. The grass they use made the game a slip & slide contest.

can we get a 9 min td drive?
