Ella Langley has Good Jeans Too

I plan to give her a listen later. When I googled her, I did see she had a new song or albumb that dropped recently. I’m sure the jeans campaign was timed to coincide.

Generally speaking, country isn’t my go to music genre but it is always fun to hear new music.

The “Choosin’ Texas” song just hit #1 last week, apparently.

It’s ridiculous that a certain segment of society would take a normally benign issue and create controversy where controversy shouldn’t exist.

Envy at its worse on display.

So far, there’s no controversy with Ella Langley.

Please, don’t get the thread blown up. She’s an up-and-comer, very talented, and deserves her day in the sun. Let’s hope the thread can focus on her and her talent.

I actually think “Choosin’ Texas” is better suited to her vocal talents.

That other song is more “spoken word” than sung.

I like the George Strait reference in “Choosin’ Texas,” as well as the more traditional country sound in her hits.

We’ve had enough crossover pop.

You started the thread saying that she is stirring people up because she’s the new American Eagle spokesperson and not saying anything on her talent. I see you have now edited that post to remove reference to any imagined controversy about Ella being their spokesperson.

Totally agree. Pretty sure she’ll stay true to her roots.

She does a fantastic cover of “Wish I didn’t know now, what I didn’t know then”. I have a whole playlist of her on my Amazon Music account.

Wasn’t that a good call or not Mr. moderator? I saw the remark was becoming a focus and didn’t want to give your team any excuses. There is controversy but not going to give it oxygen. You can find it if you wish. The announcement for the ad was just made this week. I think they chose her because of her talent, not her jugs.

I don’t disagree with your choice, I just found your request amusing. I will say, let’s all drop anything about the previous controversy and discuss Ella Langley on her artistic efforts.

Also…

There is no controversy. At least not yet, I don’t expect there to be any.

Just went to her website, she has several performances scheduled in Texas so far. Austin, Corpus, Ft. Worth, & Bellville. None in the Houston area, yet.

For what it’s worth, my social media bubble definitely included people accusing Sydney Sweeney first of ignoring white supremacist dogwhistling and then of being an outright white supremacist. I’d go as far as to call that the consensus among the opinions my algorithm has shown to me.

Ok, well let’s discuss that elsehwere and focus here on Ella Langley as the OP has requested.

The messaging has changed, Ella and AE have decided to go with the “Denim Darling” moniker. It just fits.

Not unusual to change messaging with a new spokesperson, though I wouldn’t be surprised if they did it because of the previous controversy. I also like the alliteration of Denim Darling. It is a good choice.

Didn’t say it was unusual, just noted they changed it. They used the first spokeswoman to get the attention, and this one to keep it going. No mention of genes anywhere in this new ad campaign.

Ya know.

She seems like a bit darker and more brunette-ish version of Susanna Hoffs from “The Bangles.”

Nice outdoor venues in Pittsburgh and Denver in May and June. Why can’t Houston have nice things? Answer: Humidity

Ella is legit. Future Rodeo performer
