I know I’m repeating myself but don’t have the Oilers blue against a team that wears red!!! That was stupid, get it? I don’t like it either but let’s at least have some common sense.

Like it or not - effective or not - agree with blue or not… your quote above is EXACTLY the point…at least from a sales/marketing standpoint.
They are hoping to sell something to you (in blue, because you don’t have that). I’m sure it’s worked enough so far to keep their interest in it.
You seem to have some ideas… What about about UH base color RED?/WHITE with the light blue trim and numbers?

I think you gotta go one way or the other. Red / white for most games, but for the h-town alts I think blue / white has to be the primary with red trim

Why in the world do we need blue at all? What are our school colors? Focus on building our school’s identity with our school colors and be consistent about it. Not so secrets to marketing.

Take a poll. I think it’s about 80/20 in favor of people that don’t like the blue jerseys for basketball. Don’t believe me take a poll.
Does the city love the basketball ones, or just the football ones? I know when the Rockets wore almost exactly these same uniforms, they were a huge flop.
This is just a better version of the same uniform we wore Saturday. And they actually painted the court accordingly. And it still sucked.
