ESPN+ Rates Going Up Significantly ($7->$10/mo)

Part of the problem is that the streaming model is starting to adopt the cable approach as it becomes more entrenched. The original streaming had more of an a la carte approach. Now the big names like YouTubeTV are adding channels to their Core / Basic package and increase the costs even though you don’t want those programs.

That was always gonna happen. I’m surprised pay per view hasn’t become more of a thing, but the money is always better in auto renewing subscriptions, which was always the cord cut options were going for.

Content costs what it costs. One way or another we’re collectively going to pay for it. The only question who pays which part of the tab.
