Good, as a gun owner we have a responsibility to make sure our guns are secure and we should be accountable when we dont.
I’m sure there will be appeals.
Sure, there will be appeals; but the Crumbley case still has both
parents locked up while they pursue their legal maneuvering. Hope this
becomes the norm in charging parents.
Yes, Jennifer and James Crumbley remain in Michigan state prisons, serving 10–15 year sentences for involuntary manslaughter regarding the 2021 Oxford High School shooting
. Despite filing appeals and requesting release, courts have denied bond, with Jennifer held at Women’s Huron Valley Correctional Facility. They could potentially be released as early as December 2031.
- Status: Both are currently incarcerated, having begun their sentences in April 2024.
- Appeals: As of mid-2025, courts have denied requests to release Jennifer Crumbley on bond while her appeal is pending, citing her as a flight risk. James Crumbley is also seeking a new trial.
- Son’s Sentence: Their son, Ethan Crumbley, is serving a life sentence without parole for the shooting.
