One of my favorite teachers in high school ran the board game club. We would meet after school and sometimes on Saturdays and play different board games. The two most popular ones were Axis and Allies and another that I don’t remember the name anymore but it was based on the 100 year war.
I wish I could remember the name of a really cool Civil War board game I played with some of my fellow Army Officers on the US Army Pacific staff in Hawaii years ago.
The full Colonel who was the Chief Simulations Officer started up a war game club there.
We played that game one Saturday. One other Officer and I played the South, and two other Officers played the North. The game laterally took all day to play, but my side won.
