When she was a freshman(2023)she became the first to appear in a game with a pinch hit AB.
She has played in 6 games over the four years…she has been clocked at 83mph on an outfield throw.
They say she sits 80-84 on the mound….have no idea what kind of secondary stuff she has but with that velo she should have been able to get outs in the IVY.
I’m totally against men playing in women’s sports. Why should women be allowed to play in men’s sports?
BTW, congrats to this young lady for her talent … just hope there is a ladies sport she can use it in. Of course, she’ll get more fame at this point, for her spot on the men’s team.
Obviously biological males shouldn’t be allowed to play women’s sports simply because of the advantage the typical post-pubescent male musculature and developmental potential that male hormones provide.
OTOH…
The OPPOSITE situation is a little different.
In that case, she’s beating out males despite being at that presumed hormonal/muscular disadvantage.
So given that…I say…MORE POWER TO HER!!!

So if she is willing to assume the risks, why stop her?
Trust her judgment as we would any male athlete on the team, given that she can obviously compete.
She earns a degree from Brown, established herself as a unique talent, and is getting a lot of publicity. Nice four years she can parlay into something cool.

Every player that takes the field voluntarily assumes the risk of sports related injury, right?

83 mph won’t get you a starting spot on a 6a boys varsity team. Most throw low 90s.
Most HS pitchers don’t throw low 90’s

What high school did you do to? They did at my son’s. Many pitched in the 90s. Low 80s you would get rocked.
