Note:
Rozier was blackmailed to “participate” in this betting scandal. He had massive betting debts.

Some people enjoy betting on sports. I never did but questions have to be asked like?
Is espn promoting gambling? Off course they are…some might say that all of these media contracts are intertwined with gambling. I would like to see a survey of who is watching sports for the gambling.

It is a terrible look and will only get worse. This is why I have never been a fan of the increasing prevelance of sports betting. I mean I go to Hawks games and the people who sit in my section are constantly making bets on their phones on all sorts of things, like how many assists will Trae Young get in the first quarter, or how many points will a third string bench player score. It’s getting crazy. I know that not all of the charges revolve around around sport’s betting, but it’s just one more nail in the coffin for this country and it’s work ethic.

Wealthy people gamble…a lot. Jordan, Tiger, Charles Barkley, Dana White, etc. When you have that much money, you can “play” as much as you want.

It was only a matter of time. Sports has made a Faustian bargain. During the press conference a question was asked regarding collegiate sports and the reply was that this only involved pro sports. You would have to be naive to think it isn’t going on at the collegiate level.
College basketball had its scandal in the 1950’s. It will happen again. MLB has had its gambling scandals. Paul Hornung and Alex Karas were suspended for a year in the NFL for gambling.
Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.
