Fourth-and-20 Should Haunt and Motivate UH Football — Lunacy in Lubbock Leaves Clayton Tune, Donavan Mutin and the Coogs at a Turning Point

Another big game this weekend against the Jayhawks.

It was another roller-coaster ride of emotions. Wish we could have a “normal” game and win, but it’s on to the next game.

I’ll be there drinking & cheering on @ TDECU this Saturday. Same seat, same section, same passion as I have had for the past 4 years. Go Coogs.

Fourth and 20 and we inexplicably rushed only 3 down linemen?

Last year against SMU we go up by 3 with around 40 seconds left in the game 30 seconds later SMU kicks the game tying FG but fortunately we get a kick return for the win. We play way to soft in the final minute and I am not sure if it is the 3 man rush and a soft zone or just thinking the game is over.

I am OK with a 3 man rush, as long as you put all LB’s 10 yards off the line and tell them nobody gets past you. That game should have been over after that play. That QB ran at will.

I’m good 3 down lineman 3 LB with possibly a safety playing one of the LB spots to cove the middle

BYU was rushing 3 on the final play of OT. That worked. We left a demilitarized zone of 20 yards.

Yeah we should have stuck with what worked. I hate prevent def.

So I was working during the game and had a chance to go out for my 15 min break. I figured I hunt for a free stream of the game and waited patiently for it to load on the phone. It came on with two Parish sacks which led to 4th and 20. After the next play I closed my browser and went back to work.

I had to be somewhere else and recorded the game, but checked in on score. I cannot bring myself to watch it.

For the casual observer I think it would have been an entertaining game. Unfortunately there’s nothing casual about my viewing habits. If I haven’t broken furniture by the second quarter I’m either watching it in a hotel or too ____ up to swing the masonry hammer

Too soon. I haven’t watched any replays or highlights.

I can do highlights, we had plenty of good plays but don’t want to replay the game.
