Fritz is not the answers

I don’t know who you’re talking to, I definitely have a grip.

Or at least my socks do, anyway.

His first game sucked! He deserves a chance to prove himself tho. One game isn’t enough.

What type of offense does CWF have in mind? The only offense UH has successfully implemented is a pass heavy offensive scheme. I remember Kim Helton’s idea was to turn UH into a pro set smash mouth football team. Of course that was a disaster. UH was not a B10 team. UH doesn’t have the recruiting prowess to build that type of team. Even if it could, that type of offense would not be a good match in the conferences we’ve been playing in.

Ever hear of the veer offense? It was pretty good. Maybe someone can look up who invented that? His name escapes me.

Man, I think if we actually had that kind of offense instead of just wishing for it, we probably wouldn’t be sitting here talking about a new coach. Dana broke his own offense somehow and we never saw the “offensive genius” except when he was offending fans.

But our roster was geared for that kind of offense, which led to some transfers. Personally, I don’t know any UH fan who expected a bowl this year. I did expect to see a well-coached team right out of the gate, even if that team wasn’t good enough to win, so that was a disappointment. They get another chance to show that against OU.

Jack Pardee’s opener against Ok St was pretty dismal, but that team had Barry Sanders backing up Thurman Thomas. I don’t know the stats, but the offense was pretty dismal - seems like we had a rotation of Ed Powers and David Dacus before they figured out that Andre was the guy. Fun times.

The veer and shoot offense?

I do think Fritz has a fire in the belly.

Question is does it lead to winning or reaching for…
